how does Community Christmas work?
Community Christmas is a collaboration between nine different organizations in our community! Anyone who is part of one of our partner organizations has the opportunity to earn “Christmas Cash” throughout the year by participating in life building activities and classes. Christmas Cash is the currency of Community Christmas and can be used to shop for Christmas gifts! The Well of North Louisiana is the administrating non-profit and our partner organizations are Boys and Girls Clubs of NLA, Life Choices, Freedom 13, DART, Youth Empowerment Program, Bridges International, Recovery Court, and Royal Family Kids’ Camp.
The 8th Annual Community Christmas is December 12th & 13th this year! From baking to gift wrapping, there is room for everyone to participate!
We love our city, and believe we truly are better together. Christmas in July and Community Christmas are all about togetherness - partnership between non-profits, churches, businesses, and individuals all coming together for the good of our city!
Christmas in July
You are invited to partner with The Well for Christmas in July, our annual gift drive to stock the Community Christmas store! Community Christmas is a two-day shopping experience hosted each December bringing people from across our city together to celebrate the holidays. With kids' activities and holiday treats, it's so much more than just shopping. It's a great opportunity to build relationships in our city.
The Community Christmas store is stocked with over 2,500 new gift items that are supplied through Christmas in July allowing shoppers to provide gifts for their loved ones during the holiday season. Businesses, organizations, churches, civic clubs, families, and individuals from around our community help stock the store by purchasing gifts or hosting gift drives in the month of July!
Participating is simple. Download our shopping list. Purchase a gift item. Drop off at 413 N. Homer St, Ruston or at your participating organization!
